South Beach Campground

Okay Y'all. You are about to hear about the worlds greatest campground. Now I am writing this months and months later but I still regularly think about South Beach Campground and how perfect and amazing it is. Now I am not totally sure how we stumbled upon south beach but we didn't plan out where we were tenting so we would just do research based on the proximity to us. So we spent the day in Mount Rainier National Park and it was a super cloudy day and we realized we were not going to be about the see the mountain and we couldn't afford to spend another day in the park so we went and saw many waterfalls and packed up to head west towards Olympic National Park. A section of the park is on the Pacific Coast so we planned to drive up the coast. We were desperate to see the ocean. And somehow by some way that I don't recall we ended up at the beauty that is South Beach Campground.

We were coming through at the very beginning of October so the Campground was pretty quiet, but of course all of the ocean front lots were occupied. We thought we found a spot that was ocean front but some guy and his wife were claiming that a plastic water bottle with his name and number on the wrapper and a rock on the picnic table was a valid way of claiming a campground lot. Um... since literally when. So we obviously thought that those things were just trash cause what???? And we set up our tent. When the man and his wife came back we had some beef with him. Eventually we just let him have his lot back cause whatever bro. Our lot was perfectly amazing cause honestly all of the lots are really perfect and nice so it was fine.
