This week I went on two different hikes. Let me tell you about them:
First, Cassia (fellow volunteer/friend) and I went to Fletcher Falls in Kaslo, British Columbia. However, we did not necessarily intend to. As usual Cassia and I were planning to go out on the lake and have a paddle. As we started paddling we got going pretty good. We ended up about 20 minutes south, where we knew Fletcher Falls was. The beach looked amazing so we pulled our paddleboards off and into the sand. However, we didn't intend to go on a hike so neither of us had shoes. Determined, we chose to walk on anyways to find this waterfall. We navigated our way through and made it to the falls. It was time to take a nature moment, so we sat on the rocks for some time. Reaching the hike by paddleboard and then barefoot is the best way to go on a hike.

Second, this hike was a solo adventure along the Kaslo River Trail. Outside of Main Street Kaslo is the trailhead for the North and South Kaslo River Trails. This hike was so amazing I had to bring Cassia the next day. This hike immediately takes you out of the city and into the forest. As you walk along, the river is racing down stream creating just an incredible atmosphere. The noise of the water just soothes your soul immediately. This was the most serene place I have ever been it was like magic. This is the place where I believe I could find fairies. I'll try next time;)
