katie lives and works in the san francisco bay area. traveling to over forty-nine countries around the globe, katie feels at home where she goes. her traveling adventures began as a college exchange student in Iwaki, Japan.

katie specializes in portraiture using both black and white and color film. she employs natural light to capture the spirit of her subjects in environmental settings which create timeless, true images. her images reflect the character of her subjects: their tenderness, curiosity, strength and joy.
